Is Carways a broker or do you have your own trucks?

We are a proudly owned family business servicing the car carrying industry for over 40 years. That means we own our own trucks. When you book with us, we guarantee your vehicle will be transported by one of our trucks, featuring the reputable Carways name.

Is my vehicle covered by Insurance?

No, Carways does not offer motor vehicle insurance. But if Carways are found to be negligent in damaging your vehicle, we do have an internal claims process. We recommend having your own vehicle insurance to cover transit.

Can I leave personal items in the vehicle?

Carways is not responsible for any personal items left in the vehicle whilst in transit. Any items left are the owners’ responsibility. If you do leave personal items, we ask that they be secured and not weigh down the vehicle in transit. Please note: all vehicles heading to WA must be completely empty for quarantine purposes.

Do you transport non running or accident damaged vehicles?

Carways can provide transport for non-running or accident damaged vehicles depending on the condition and location of the vehicle. Get in touch to find out if your vehicle qualifies for transport.

Do you transport trailers, motorcycles, caravans or boats?

No, we do not provide transport for trailers, motorcycles, caravans or boats.

Do I need to remove all external accessories?

We recommend that any external accessory that could be subject to interference whilst in transit be removed – for example, weather shields, rear window louvers and aerials.

Is it a requirement for someone to be present at the time of pickup and delivery of the car?

Yes, a vehicle inspection report will need to be signed and the keys must be handed over to our driver. If this is not possible get in touch with our helpful staff to discuss other options.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Direct Deposit, money order and bank cheque. Cash payments are accepted at our depot locations. All private bookings must be prepaid before your vehicle is transported.
